Advantages: Good graphics for its time. Good gameplay

Disadvantages: Somewhat outdated

I felt like reviewing this game because it was one of the first games I played on a computer. For that time, the graphics were absolutely astonishing and the gameplay was as good as imaginable. The graphic motor had suffered a huge boost compared to FIFA 08 and FIFA 08 road to the world cup and the resemblance to the real players was quite impressive (even for today's standards).
The game modes and tactical options available were also very diversified. For instance, I could chose a 3 3 4 tactic which makes no sense and is not generally available in todays versions of FIFA and PES. In terms of gameplay, some attributes are a bit exagerated as is the simplicity of dribbling through players.
The game modes are also very diversified. It is possible to play a friendly, play in standard tournaments or leagues, create your own league or even play online. The number of teams present is also quite large, and most of the major leagues are registered hence it is possible to find all of the stars and buy them, one by one, to make your dream team.
Overall, the game is quite good considering its age. Nonetheless, I rebought it (since I had lost my old version) and still have as much fun with FIFA 99 as I do with more current versions.

Summary: A great game to play, even in today's times
