Advantages: Increased longevity, better interaction

Disadvantages: Less involved training

I have always been a fan of the championship/football manager series, and this only enhanced my opinion. The interface is now much more advanced than the old series, with easy 'tree' menus down the side and 'breadcrumb' menus across the bottom of the screen. Also, there is now increased interaction available, with both players and other staff. This makes you feel much more like a real manager - the ultimate aim of any management sim.

One disadvantage in my opinion, however, would be the tactis and training are now more simplified than in previous FM games. Rather than being able to pick and choose what your players do in training, you can now only choose at what intensity they train in each area.

The addition of kits, club crests and player photos is interesting, although superficial.

Probably my favourite aspect of the game is the longevity of it. In previous FM games, once you have played about 10 years, England and English teams dominate everything and it gets rather boring. Now though this has been sorted and every country develops it own players.

Probably my favourite FM game so far, looking forward to playing 2008!

Summary: Management sim with some new features - a must buy for football management sim fans!
