great manager game for first time players (Football Manager 2007 (PC))

football manager 2007 is a good manager game and is a really good way of passing time! you can choose from lots of different nations from albania to khazakstan! then you can choose a team to manage in that nation or if you want a challenge you could start un employed. depending on your club you can purchase new players with your transfer budget. start at chelsea and you'll get a nice budget of 70-80m whereas if you start at a conference side such as droylsden you will have nothing!

FM2007 is a very deep game. you cant just pick a team and win games. you have to set all your tactics up and provide the right training for your players to maximise their performance. also bringing players through your youth develepment could provide you with the next "ronaldo".

the graphics on the game are very simple. the players on the pitch consit of dots with numbers in them and everything else is just pictures. however that is good as if the players were real it would just be the same as fifa and you might aswell not bother.

the game is very good but it takes a LOT of time. i was once playing as bury and it took me 5 season to get to the premiership with a total plytime of around 30 days (i have played the game for 2 years so it's acceptable!)

i would give the game about 7/10 and if you haven't played any manager games before this is a good one to start with as 2006 is too basic and the newer version is quite complex so starting with this one would get you accustomed to the game. if you enjoy this game then i would recommend FM2009 as it is updated with newer information and there is obviously more players.
