Well its another game that hits the really hardcore football/soccer fans, giving customers an ultimate experience of managing their favourite football teams and players around the world. As always it's been a big anticipated game from the start and on opinion does this game let down in departments that have been improved form the last series?
Game play
Around 80 new features have reportedly been added to the game to allow customers have the feel of getting as much control as possible of the team that they want to manage. A lot of hype has been spread in a promising pre-season and a new superstar performer, which hasn't really changed from the 2008 series apart from a couple of more selected answers that customers get an option to chose from on the selected menu that is given, if you chose to attend the press conference or not, you'll see the new features in action and ask what now. Another big step up is the 3D match engine which has transformed the look of the series as it finally given fans a chance to experience their teams in a full featured 3d option. Which is a great add on as so many fans was waiting for this to be added but in another light some fans may not find the game works on their PC and could cause fans to be angered of having to finally upgrade their PC/Mac. With being able to change the match engine back to its normal 2D option is a nice little twist to the game as I've always been a fan of the 2d feature but I do find myself on the important match e.g. play off final on the 3d feature. Well have you built your squad of old and new players or are they full of word class beaters. Have you give enough time to your squad for them to gel in order to create yet another championship-winning combination? Well it's all up to you.
Football Manager 2009 has a lot of positive and negative feeling about it, one side its known to be one of the finest, visually games on the market yet customers find themselves having to find face packs, kits, logos and so on. When you haven't got a major pack to add to the game including all of these Kits it can take you hours to make your own and really does let the game down. With patchs coming out every years it sure makes the game feel great but how many times do you want to start the game again, I know they can be added to your saved game but it really doesn't make it that realist. Football Manager 2009 still has more than enough quality and strength in depth to be considered championship-winning material.
Database
With its extremely huge database of players and staff members it sure does look just as good as last few people saying that the tactics system is more complicated than real life real life I don't agree with that at all as my opinion on the this is it pretty much easy to pick up for Football Manager fans. This just makes the game all the more enjoyable as you have to find the perfect tactic to suit your team and your players attributes. You then have to interact with your players to keep morale high and keep them happy at the club as this makes the game that more realistic to fans, but has it change much from 2008 not at all, hardly.
Conclusion
Its another great game from Sports Interative, thumbs up 9 out of 10
Summary: Another great football game
