Advantages: Addictive, brilliant

Disadvantages: 3D engine needs improving

The latest football manager does more than simply update the transfers and leagues. The brand new 3D engine has been long awaited by the fans of Sports Interactive's premier franchise, the new addition however does not impress as much as one would expect. The 3D system appears clunky and incomplete, add into this a brand new interface for the entire game and it appears to be a different proposition to previous editions. Slightly more difficult to use.

Despite this, the only 2D engine can still be used and is as reliable as ever, commentary only options are also available for the complete purists. Football manager is nothing but a heaven for fans of statistics heavy sports simulation, completely addictive as ever once the interface has been gotten used to, sucking the life out of your life and providing nothing other than complete and utter value for money.

Addictive as ever, a must buy for every football fan.

Summary: A great game that could do with tweaking.
