Advantages: In depth, great gameplay, interactive and now in 3D

Disadvantages: None. Unless you don't like football. And you will probably have to buy the next version!

I have been a follower of Football Manager games since their creation, back with the Championship Manager series. After Eidos and Sports Interactive Split and I learned that the latter had the rights to the match engine, I knew I would be following them and ditching the Champ Man series. And yet again I have been proven to have made the better decision.

Football Manager is exactly what it say on the box. As manager of your chose football club, or country, you can make almost all the decision you could possbily think of to make your term a success. From buying and selling players, to tweaking the tactics and training, deciding on the size of the pitch, and interacting with the players, other managers etc, this game has it all.

Once a year men (and women) all around the world await the newset arrival in this series with a great anticipation, wondering just what has now been changed, added or improved upon since the last years release. Football Manager 2009 has given us a newly improved match engine, bigger than ever (as usual); new 3D match play (although I'm old-school 2d Text only) this does look great if you have the time. And a lot more internation in the game, with improved feedback with almost every aspect of the footballing world.

Quite simply, if you are interested in football you should own this game. If you have had previous version(s) of either this or Championship Manager, you roughly know what to expect, and this version certainly does not disappoint. If you've never owned one, why not? Buy this now!

Summary: The best game ever.
