Freecell is one of the card games that comes free with the windows package and in a way is in the shadow of the more "well-known" or "popular" games such as solitaire, with many people saying it is due to the simplicity, however freecell is quite a simplistic game once you know the rules and provides a lot more entertainment than most of the other card games. ~~ Location ~~ For all players using windows 98 or above you use the start menu: accessories: games: freecell. If you are using windows vista then it is simply start menu: games: freecell. Also, by simply typing "Freecell" into google, just over 9million ... Read the complete review

If you ask me Freecell has a pretty hard time of it. People always play Minesweeper, or Solitaire, but when you say 'Don't you want to play Freecell?' they just look at you as if you're stupid. Freecell isn't as easy to understand as Solitaire but when mastered it is ultimately more rewarding. The two card games share a similar idea, but Freecell takes it a bit further. The aim of the game is the same of that of Solitaire; to get all the cards in to 4 piles, one for each suit, counting up from ace to king. Freecell is a game bundled with windows and is a lot like the classic one person cards game patience. The cards are laid out as four overlapping columns of seven and four overlapping columns of six. You can take columns of cards or a single card off this set up and move them onto cards of opposite coloured suits and one higher number. To help you do this there are four slots that you can move cards into so that you can free up columns or single cards. You can normally move four cards providing that all the cells are free. For every cell that is full then you can only move sets of one card less. In addition when one column space becomes free you ... Read the complete review

Having only had experience of my friend?s computer and playing Freecell with her when my husband moved in with me and brought his computer I immediately asked him to get Freecell for me. It comes with package he said looking at me as though I was stupid. I couldn?t wait for him to get it working for me. This is when my addiction first started. I was pregnant at the time and ill all the way through my pregnancy so I had little to do; we had no internet at the time so the only real thing to do on the computer was to play games. It wasn?t the best computer in the world and my attention span was crap so I took to playing Freecell like a duck to water. The ... Read the complete review
