Full Spectrum Warrior is a game based on a U.S. military training simulation. In short, it is designed to be a realistic experience. It will test your ability to multi-task rather than how quick your trigger finger is. You will take control of up to three squads at one time which can be pretty disorienting. The game takes place in a fictional country where you (army rangers) must help diffuse an international situation. The narrative is not one of the games strong points. Having played a few military games by the time I got to Full Spectrum Warrior I had become sick of games with poor AI, the lack of challenge is quite annoying and makes games boring. I was hoping for good AI with Full Spectrum Warrior but it was not to be. Often you will end up with a stalemate where neither your troops nor the enemy troops will press forward but will engage in pointless bullet shower battles so the rest is left to you. There's also some rather unfair elements in the game. Enemies can shoot from buildings but you cannot even enter buildings that are not part of your mission.
