I was fortunate to play this before playing its sequel and I think it is a very fun if not high quality game. The most important feature of this game is that it is a strategy game and the all the skill comes from this, the game does feature first person/ third person shooting. I like this because it makes the game very original.

Perhaps what really makes this game is the amount of power you have, which is bound to make you feel good. You are in charge of over 50 gangsters and if you are inclined to micro-manage, can give each one of them individual orders.

The games depth is both impressive and not so good. The number of business is vey good but the variety less so- particularly graphics wise. One pretty insane thing is the ability to search through lists of all the citizens in the city you are working in- you can send a gangster to kill a randomly chosen citizen if you so desire.

Referencing back to my comment about this not being high quality, there are quite a few bugs and certain things can make the game painstakingly frustrating to play- if you can get past this however it is a surprisingly enjoyable game to play.

Summary: Definitely buy this if at £5 or under
