Advantages: Great graphics, Long lasting, Lots of game play options
Disadvantages: The actual game screen
I bought this game a couple of months ago, firstly because I love Sim games, and secondly because it was a budget title and was retailing for a mere £4.99. In this game you play a gangster, not any old gangster, you are Mr Big, the man who gives the orders, you decide if a shop should be done over, you decide if you want to kill a rival gang member. As will most Sim games, there is no action as such, you have to organise things and watch how the results turn out. The game play is first done in note book style, at the beginning of the game you have about seven hired hands at you're disposal. You decide who should lead that gang, and you then assign each gang tasks, this includes collecting protection money, indimidating shop owners into giving you protection money, you may like your gang to rob a business, this is quick way of earning cash, however, it is risky. You can also recruit new gang members, accountants and laywers, the more gang members you have the more jobs you can get done, and accountant will sort out your money, and a lawyer will help you stay out of jail. You can also buy business's legit, you can also folow rival gang members, and if you fancy take em out. No gangster can operate without weapons and cars, so this option is available obviously the more money you have the better type of weapon and car you can buy. Once you have decided whos doing what, you click done, and you find your gangsters on the street, you can watch what they are doing, and keep tabs on them, say you get caught doing a job, you can shoot the persuing cops in an escape bid. For me this is the worst part of the game play, this is played out over seven days, so you will wait a good 15 minutes for the tasks to be carried out, I'm surprised there is no game speed option here. You can also play lots of variation such as short game, long game, and one goal only games. This is a great
game for the money, the grpahics are good, and as long as you have a half decent computer the game flows along quick nicely. This game is a must for any Sim fan, and its a snip at £4.99.
