Grand Prix 4 by Infrogrames is the latest formula one inspired creation from the master of racing simulators Geoff Crammond. Since his first simulation which was released on the BBC Micro computer in the early eighties (Revs) Mr Crammond's titles have become the benchmark for all programmers to aspire to. The latest title has all the hallmarks of a classic, but as well as being a superb simulation, there are some features incorporated which will appeal more to the arcade racer. The game simulates the 2001 season with all 17 tracks being included and the relevant teams and drivers. This is slighty dissapointing as the game is already out of ... Read the complete review

I was originally surprised about the fact that no-one had written a review of Grand Prix 4. Then I realised that this was dooyoo, and they employ monkeys to design their website to make it impossible to find anything except adverts. Grand Prix 4 is an excellent game. I was prepared to wager £34.99 on this fact, which is something I rarely do as this is a lot to spend on something you don't really need. The one thng that did please me upon opening the box was the fact that it came with a paper manual and not a let's-play-at-manuals .pdf one. It's a shame it doesn't come in a DVD box though, this would make it easier to store. The game ... Read the complete review

Without a doubt the best Racing Simulation ever made. I have owned and played many racing games on various formats over the years but none of them come even close to this. This game 7 years on from its original release still holds up against the latest selection of racing games available today and is still in my opinion the only F1 game you should own... period. The attantion to detail is mind blowing. The games designer Geoff Crammond specialises in motor racing games and holds a physics degree, which explains the realism of all the physics and programming present in this game. The graphics are superb and still look good today and the same can be said for the ... Read the complete review

Now, as you may, or may not have read in a previous review, i was a big big fan of Grand Prix 3 (go find the review, cos i suggest you use it, youll see why in a min.) Well, in 2000, an add-on for GP3 arrived, the 2000 season. Well, this is where things started tripping up. I thought 'great, a stop gap while i wait for GP4 to come out' and opened the box, eagerly awaiting the new elements that this add-on might give me. Well, the thing didnt play. My spec was more than enough, but they didnt make the game compatible with any graphics cards except the top 3 at the time. Oh well, the GPaedia was nice. So, along comes GP4, and i looked up the spec before i ... Read the complete review
