“ Gex contains all the elements that made it so popular on the other formats as well as new, amazing exclusive levels. Over 125 slick Gecko moves. Whip-cracking tail attacks, flying karate kicks, tongue grabbing and climbing up walls all realised in full 3D. „
I am a hater of adventure games, and fortunately for me, the PC seems to dislike them too. Gex is not the first, or by any means the most successful (that title is awarded to Zelda), but it is my favourite. One of the main features of an adventure game is the graphics; if you don’t believe me, check out games like Zelda, Grim Fandango or any of the Monkey Island games. Gex is different. It also has a half-decent sound system, but like most adventure games it is a ‘played once and completed it’ kind of game. The makers usually try to make the game super-humanly hard to make up for this (which just annoys people), so people get the solution and sell the game on to someone else. A case of been there, done that. So, like Gex does well, most games nowadays are huge, with tons of secret and bonus levels. The game isn’t terrible, but is not recommended.
