Back in 2002, with little fanfare, a PC RPG/adventure game called Gothic arrived on the shelves of video games shops everywhere. Six years later, and after two equally low-key sequels, I feel the need to go back over this game that I see as a minor classic. Despite it's name, Gothic has nothing to do with the Gothic Subculture. It's set in a fantasy world - although in this world, knights in shining armour and big green dragons are thin on the ground.
