Advantages: fairly detailed but not too indepth

Disadvantages: none

An old game this one released in 1996 and one of my favourite PC games, Grand Prix Manager 2 has you managing a Formula One team and trying to win the championship.

You have to select a team from all the teams that raced and select the drivers you want from drivers at the time, you can either play short term or long term.

You take on the role of manager and have to select everything from engines, to security to improve your cars you have to research new technology or steal it from your competitors. You earn money by selling sponsorships and by winning races and you have to select what to spend it on.

In short term you play for a few seasons and you have to achieve an objective depending on your team, for example a top team you have to win and the lower teams you have to win so many races.

In long term you select your team and race through the seasons trying to finish as high as you can.

Before you start a race you can hire out the track and practice your car settings out on it and see where you can improve to help your chances of winning the race and alter your car settings to what it recommends.

The commentary is good and is done by Stirling Moss although you can skip the actual race part which you would want to do after you have played a bit.

Controls/Graphics

The graphics are pretty bad but than you do not play this game for the graphics, the control is the mouse so very simple

Difficulty

The game is fairly easy to play especially when you play as one of the top teams, when you start playing with the bottom teams it is fairly hard to complete

Value for Money

I have had this game for over 10 years and I am still not bored of it, I go through periods of playing on it and have played countless hours on it, even when you have finished it once it is still fun to go and play through the game again, although some of the options are fairly dull you do not usually have to bother with them just do what you enjoy.

Summary: fun and easy to play
