There is somewhat of a drought in F1 management games. There is one on the horizon - F1 Championship Manager - but other than that you're hard pressed to find one. And even more hard pressed to find one that's any good. In my opinion, Grand Prix World is probably the best one out there. There are a few initial problems with Grand Prix World - it's set in the 1998 season (6 years old isn't exactly current), it's hard to get hold of and it has a few compatibility problems. However, if you do find it it would be about £5 and you can buy a lot worse for that. The game is very varied and the learning curve is quite steep. You really ... Read the complete review

I am a massive F1 motor racing and management computer games fan. I have spent many hours playing games like Football Manager, so when the F1 management game "Grand Prix World" was released back in 1999, it didn't take me long to purchase it! When you start this game, after entering your name, you have to choose one of the eleven teams from the 1998 F1 season. Each team has a different target for the season ahead. For example, McLaren and Ferrari expect you to win the championship, whereas Minardi or Tyrrell are more than happy if you just score a point. When you take over the team, you take on the team's real drivers from that season. ... Read the complete review

Grand Prix World is the best managing game out in the shops. Even though its release was in 1998, no one can beat it. Choose your team and your off, hire and fire the staff, build your own car, get sponsors to earn more money and build your own engine. There is a lot to do as soon as you enter the game, big names such as Adrian Newey, Ross Brawn and many more from the formula 1 world are included in this exiting game. Engine names like Ferrari, Mercedes and Toyota are all waiting for you to snatch them up. All the drivers and more are waiting for you to give them that offer they can’t refuse as you push for that title. At the start of the ... Read the complete review

Herbert comes around the corner, he's heading down the finishing straight... and YES!! Sauber win their first race of the season. What a drive by Johnny Herbert. Sort out the sponsors, give them VIP attention at races, fix your cars, discover new technology, order you drivers around and anything else you'd expect Grand Prix management game. It is most exciting starting off with a less exciting team like Sauber and working your way up through the ranks. Sponsors gain interest after being invited to races by yourself and drivers like attention. If you wanna survive longer than a year then you wanna work hard and get your mechanics going. But don't ... Read the complete review
