Released back in 1999, 'Grand Theft Auto: London 1969' is the first official expansion pack for the original (and best) GTA game, so rather than the admittedly swish-looking, style-over-content visuals of the later GTA games, players are instead treated to very simple top-down low-res graphics that resemble a 90s amiga game rather than a modern PC ... This game was more of an add on to the original grand theft auto game. You needed the original for it to work. Obviously the setting for the game was London and therefore you got to drive on roads that looks more like british roads than american. Also the cars where different, you could even drive a big red bus. The was basically the same ... Read the complete review

Another version of the grand theft auto saga. This version was not quite as publicised as the rest but is, nonetheless, a great game to play. Grand theft auto London 1969, tries to display the reality of London at the end of the 60s. The city is somewhat similar to its real world counterpart although it is far from being a carbon copy of the ... Read the complete review

If you didn't enjoy GTA or GTA2 skip this and go straight to GTA3. There's nothing new about GTA London other than that it's set in London. Really, that's it. You still have the same awkward overhead view, the same awful shooting controls, the same wandering around a boring city hoping you recall the layout and that you don't die ... GRAND THEFT AUTO : LONDON 1969 ------------------------------ Now most people have probably heard of the Grand theft auto series of games, made popular by the 3d efforts of GTA3 and Vice City, but before these 3d masterpieces there were 3 other games, yep there was GTA1 and 2, then there was this little number released ... If you were a fan of the original then this game is a must.Tired of driving the same old American muscle cars that were the only option of the first installment? Then grab a copy of this and prepare to be whisked back to 1969 and bring the atmosphere of a gangster ridden London to your screen! Drive Mini Coopers, E Type Jags and of course the VW ... You may have guessed.. I'm a tad sceptical. It's a cash in I'm afraid. London does not have straightline streets like America, so why does it have them in this game? It's basically a blatant cash in.. all they've done is take the old game and change the textures over. Why bother? It's the same old ... Read the complete review

Set in London in 1969, the game works on a number of levels. Alongside the predictably aggresive gameplay, the game attempts to show the seductive but ultimately destructive glamour of a life of crime to a street hoodlum drawn progressively further into a nightmare criminal underworld of theft, killing, drugs, extortion and prostitution. At the ... Read the complete review

Those of you who were just about used to driving on the right hand side in GTA thought that it couldn't get any more complicated....then came along GTA London! Driving on the left-hand side doesn't seem so confusing in real life, but if you are used to playing the original style then it's quite hard to adapt to. The game itself is ... This game deserves respect! This is a great follow up to GTA! I like it most because it is a bit nearer to home (being living in England). The graphics are spot on and I think the sound quility is great. The thing I like most is that unlike GTA, the cars are not all fast. The suroundings of the game .EG. Hyde Park are as good as you are going to ... Read the complete review

Grand Theft Auto became quite the cult favorite when it came out. Mostly due to its socially questionable nature rather than actual gameplay, the game didn't really climb to the top of the charts, but was quite a sales success nonetheless. Rockstar games has created an add-on pack for this mission-based top-down scroller, taking place on the ... Read the complete review
