I certainly think this is the best game in the GTA series. It's got so many features which the others simply don't and it still entertains now. Though I would argue that the most 'groundbreaking' of the series was the first, primarily because of the concept behind the game, this game comes a close second. Where to begin...

The environment I suppose would be a good start. It's big even by todays standards, and then you consider that it was released 7 years ago and it suddenly seems even more impressive. It's very detailed and there's also countryside, something the other games don't have. This is fantastic fun to explore and the 3 different cities are all vastly different, so there's loads to see.

Vehicles are all good, loads of variety here too. I love the ability to customize cars and really wish this hadn't been dropped in the successor, GTAIV. The handling is ok, if you're on pc then a controller really is a must. The sound track is amazing, so much choice and a load of funny radio ads too, really ads another dimension to the game. Perhaps the best bit is the intro tune, really catchy and somehow captures the 90's Gangster feel of the game.

If you're into your games, I can't really think of any reason not to own this game, unless you happen to be a small child. It's a must have. Get it... seriously you won't regret it.
