An action/adventure game for the PC gun was released in 2005 by Activision, the game has also been for the Playstation Portable, Playstation 2, Game Cube, Xbox and Xbox360. The game is played in the first person and third person perspective. Game Play The game is set in the 1880's and is set in America in the Old West mainly New Mexico and Arizona. Gun fails to deliver. Your character is Colton White. He is pushed from a steamboat by his father shortly before it explodes having just discovered his father is not his biological father. The token in your hand directs you to the Alhambra saloon where you will begin to discover who was behind your father's death. The are three major letdowns in Gun: the controls, the difficulty and the activity. Trying to shoot enemies whilst on horseback is ridiculously difficult. During the height of the GTA San Andreas success the computer company Neversoft in association with Activision decided to release their own free roaming genre based game. The result of which was "Gun" a Wild West adventure set in the 1880's. The game was released on the Xbox, Xbox 360, Game Cube, Playstation 2, PC and then later for the PSP under the Title "Gun : Showdown" I personally have got this game on both the Playstation 2 and also for my PC, What can I say it was cheap when I bought the PC version. Gun is a way ambitious and very console-oriented first person shooter that tries to be less linear than it actually is. It is explicitly exploitative of the success of the Grand Theft Auto franchise in that it gives the impression of a very free-roaming game despite taking part in a very small Universe of limited experience. -- Upon the completion of the primary plotline, you are left with very little more to do.
