INTRODUCTION

I have been playing counterstrike now for about 2 yrs, and enjoy it very much. You can interact with other players as you play which I will talk about later. Here is more information on this game.

ABOUT COUNTERSTRIKE

Counterstrike is an online modification of the famous game halflife. In order to play counterstrike you will need to purchase the game halflife, for the cd key you will need.

You can either purchase Counterstrike or you can download it free off the net but remember you will need all the updates too for both games.

Counterstrike is a teamwork game, the game is more enjoyable if you work as a team and will also give your team a better chance of making your objective a success.

Talk to your team mates by hitting the team say key, in which you will have to bind to a key in your keyboard controls, if you wanting to talk to your opponents then set up a key to bind to say, this will allow you to talk with every player in the game.

You can also use voice in the game too, which again you will to bind to a key to use. Only the people on your team will hear what you say during the game.

INSTALLING THE GAME

Installing the game is easy, and does not take long in doing so. There are options within the halflife side of the game which will allow you to choose counerstrike and toggle with the option to play. You can also choose to launch the game from here too. If not you can download a free program called Gamespy which will allow you to play counterstrike online.

GAMEPLAY

The game play can be very tense at times but none the less it is still enjoyable. It is a first person shooter, and can be fast paced at times too, but if you?re into these types of games then I think you would like this one. Here is the tactics of both teams:

Terrorists:

The objective for the Terrorists is to plant the bomb at the marked bombsites
on the map, and then guard the bomb, to prevent the other team from defusing it. If it is a map with hostages then you have to prevent the other team in rescuing them.

Counter Terrorists

The objective for his team is to guard the bombsites to prevent the terrorists from planting the bomb. If they manage to do so then you have to go defuse the bomb to prevent it blowing up, you must always carry a defuse kit when you can as this will take less time in the defusing of the bomb. If the map is a hostage map then you have to rescue the hostages to win that round.

Both teams you will notice will have different weapons not all weapons are different, but it does not mean one team as better weapons as they are all effective in their own way.

You will always start the round with $800 this will allow you only to buy a pistol out of the weapons listed, until you win a round then your money will go up. Teams will earn money when their objective is a success

WEAPONS

There are many weapons to choose from but you will need the money to buy them. As I mentioned above there is different weapons on each team, only a couple but both effective. There are such things as grenades which have there own use, such as the smoke grenade would be used in like archways and corridors. Flash bang is used to blind the opponents, which then gives you time to run out the way from your enemies or I you can see them shoot them. The heat grenade is to hopefully kill or at least take of some their health.

Also there are equipments also you can buy, where you will find things like amour, Kevlar, helmets, defuse kit (ct only) and the grenades.

GRAPHICS AND SOUNDS

Anyone that has played this game would know the graphics and sounds on this game are amazing. But for those who have not played this game then, you have not seen anything like it. The graphics is what made me want to play, they are all realistic graphics and so are th
e sounds, which really bring out the game to a realistic measure.

Some game look boring, blocky, and nothing to be proud of playing, but this game is totally amazing. It is not just the people that look realistic it is the maps, the weapons and everything about the game.


PURCHASING AND PRICE

You can buy the halflife game from any local computer stores neat you and so you can for counterstrike. They do not cost much they are around 10-20 pounds, which is nothing when you see and play the game.

Well I really think you should have a see to see what you think of the game. You never know you could like it, this is only for people that are into playing online games and also playing first person shooters.
