My dear! This game is a superb one. The first ever game for Harry Potter series. In this game, it is really "according to the book" type. If you had read the book and you like the book, then you will like this game too. This game is Harry-centred. The game starts at the Hogwarts where you will have flashes of movie about things happened in Sorting. The character in there is good, though not like the actor...It's the original sketch of Harry and other character...none influenced by actor and actress. In the game, you go along according to the book...and first you will have lessons to learn spells and all sorts. The spells are learned through movement ... Read the complete review

First of all I should mention that I will not go into any detail of the characters or the story – this is because this is a well known story and if you haven’t heard of Harry Potter then it is better to read a separate opinion on the books and the movie (I have written opinions on all the books and the movies – and there are literally hundreds of opinions on Dooyoo!!!). This is the opening line when one starts a new game on Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (PC, Electronic Arts). I can still remember myself, feeling awestruck and overwhelmed with excitment during the early hours of Christmas nearly eight years ago. I was still eleven at that time, so you couldn't blame me so. It was my first computer game that I ever owned; I remember watching the game's advert on LivingTV in late Summer, and telling my parents that it was what I wanted for Christmas. And I wasn't dissappointed. Here ... Read the complete review

O.K! Hands up, I admit it! I went out and bought the game on the day of release. I read all four books over the summer (only to see what the fuss was about!) and I'm afraid to say I'm one of the twenty something fans. Since finishing the last book, I needed to fill the void left in my life, so bought the game to tide myself over until the next book is released next year. Anyway as I'm sure nearly all know, Harry Potter And The Philosophers Stone is the first in series of the much hyped Harry Potter books, and also the title of the recently released film, on which the game has been based. I must admit I am at present only about ... Read the complete review

Most likely cheap now, good AI
Graphics, sound and gameplay are poor in comparison to newer games in this genre
