Hell's Kitchen (PC)
Advantages: Good, fun, challenging
Disadvantages: None that I can see
Just like the TV programme, Gordon Ramsey watches your every move. He'll shout if you're not doing well, (no swearing involved here though!) praise if you're doing good and shut down the kitchen if it all gets too much for you.
There are two screens within the game; the first is the restaurant floor. Here you must seat the guests and instruct the waiter to take the food to them. The other is the kitchen, here you must cook the food (obviously!) By clicking on the bowl of food it is chopped and then you can put it in the correct pan. Each pan has a timing, you must ensure the pans all finish at the same time.
For each level you get a score between 1 to 5 stars. As you progress the things you have to cook get harder and you have more guests so it's harder to get a 5*.
As you progress through the games you unlock Gordon Ramsey recipes.
The game can be downloaded from Big Fish Games for a free 60 minute trial and purchased for as little as $6.99 if you buy other games as well. This can be changed into many currencies.
The game is controlled with the mouse which is used for clicking and dragging the food and ingredients. It's a bit tricky to play with a touch pad mouse like I did, you have to do things quite fast so it'd be easier with a standard mouse.
I really enjoyed this game, I loved the programme so thought I'd give the game a go. I enjoyed seeing what Gordon had to say about my food and getting a taste of how the contestants in the show felt.
The game isn't really a cooking game, you don't get to do any cutting or mixing or anything like that. It's more about time management than cooking as you cook many different recipes at the same time and serve too.
The game was fairly easy to control but would have been better with a real
The game was fairly challenging as you could get between 1 to 5 stars for each level you complete. 5 being the best. This means that you can try to get as many 5* as you can.
The graphics were good and I also liked the music.
A good game would recommend to pretty much anyone, you don't have to be interested in Gordon Ramsey or cooking it's just a good time management game.
I think it's suitable for male and female, most ages. Not suitable for younger children because it might be a bit tricky for them. I'm 21 and I really enjoyed it so I think it's suitable for adults too.
Summary: Good game would recommend
