Hellbender is a game I got free when I bought a 3D Graphics accelerator card for my old PC which I suppose makes the games around 5+ years old now. I just rediscovered it sitting around in a drawer which tidying up my desk area(yes that happens around once every five years) and decided to give it another try. I can’t say I am a big fan of this kind of futuristic space shoot ‘em up game, although I think Wing Commander Prophecy is simply superb. Hellbender isn’t in the same league(by my reckoning anyway), but its still a lot of fun, even though it may feel a little dated now if you are a regular player of such things....looks fine to me.
