When you think of the kind of person who kills people with as much deference (and perhaps with more frequency) as changing their socks, what are some of the terms that come to mind? Cunning. Calculated. Ruthless. Cold-blooded. Bald? In the recently released title, Hitman: Codename 47, you are plunged headlong into the dangerous and sinister world of a paid assassin, taking on the persona of a mercenary who makes his living by making others cease living. Hitman is a product of the Danish development firm, IO Interactive, and is published by Eidos Interactive.

Hitman is a single-player only game. It consists of 12 individual missions, organized into five "chapters," plus an introductory sequence that serves as a mandatory tutorial. Over the course of the game, you travel to a number of exotic locations to carry out your dirty deeds, including the city streets of Hong Kong, the jungles of Colombia, a posh hotel in Budapest, Hungary, the docks at the Rotterdam port in the Netherlands, and finally a mysterious asylum that holds the key to unlocking the secret of your own identity.
In each mission, you have several objectives to complete, one of which is typically to rub someone out. A briefing, in which you receive your objectives as well as valuable information (such as maps, photos of your mark, etc.) to assist you in making the hit, precedes each mission. You then have the option of purchasing what weapons and equipment you will take with you for the assignment in question.
Overall Hitman is a real treat and will keep you occupied for hours. Buy it now!!
