This game is truly brilliant, excellent graphics, excellent game play, excellent everything. If you do buy this game, I am sure that you will decide to stop going out so you can spend more time playing. I have had this game for about 6 months now and it has hardly seen the box it came form? The game does take quiet a lot of time to play (an short game takes about 3-5 hours) but in my opinion, it is well worth spending this time. The game is on four discs (installation and the three main races). There are three races that u can play as in the single player campaigns (Solarian, Shinari and Kra'Hen) The three races play different ways but all with ... Read the complete review

At first glance the game seems to be a straightforward update from the older version. It does have improved graphics, the game looks a lot more impressive in 3D. The hardware needed to run the game smoothly also has to be quite impressive as well otherwise you end up waiting for ages for parts of the game to load. I run AMD K62 500 with 128MB RAM and a 50 x CD-ROM Drive and the game has no problems, anything less that this and the game would not run smoothly. I had it running on a Pentium 200 and the game seemed to grind along, especially the further you get into the game. When you get into the game you see the differences in the second version to ... This is a pretty cool game. It's a bit strung out when you're trying to get started, but most strategies are. I had, and loved 'Imperium Galactica' the original, and I wish that this was an update, but they've changed quite a bit. But 'Imperium Galactica II' stays true to it's predecessor and is ultimately a good game The space-fight scenes are brilliant, the way you can zoom in and pan round 360 degrees, you can make great flybys and generally entertain your self for hours just by spinning around your fleet. But the one down side to the fighting is that you can't control your fighters as much as you could in the original. ... Read the complete review

Imperium Galactica 2 is a strategy game concerned with Galactic conquest. If you've played older spins on this theme, such as Masters of Orion or Stars! (which I'll be using to compare against this), you'll know the general premise. Build ships, colonise worlds, start wars with/ally with/spy on alien races. IG2 gives you a choice of three races to play as, Human are the all-rounders (surprise), with a diplomatic race and a warlike race as the other two options. Each game follows the same general storyline (and this is true no matter what race you are, although you see the action from different angles), but with random events mixed into the plot to keep you ... Another strategy game where you have to conquer the galaxy, I have both master of orion and masters of orion 2 so I am very familiar with this type of Game. Basicly colonize planet, build, mine, defend, bulid ships and attack the enemy. You have a choice of race to play and get your spys to do there dirty work There are some good 3d battles and some nice breaks in the action via the cut scenes. This game is quite easy and will not appeal to all game players. The 3d scenes tend to be repetative The sound was ok and there is a nice research option Its ok till something better comes out which it will. ... Read the complete review
