Advantages: Some good graphics, easy to use and simple.

Disadvantages: None really.

Incoming Forces was released in the summer of 1998, more than 10 years ago. Back in 1998 this would have been state of the art graphics and the latest hit. Now, I still think the graphics are amazing considering how old the game is.

The story line is a very strange one; you are taking on the role of an alien race, your planet is being attacked by humans who have developed the greatest ever space fleet seen, taking them 20 long years to develop and build. The fleet is laying waste to every planet in their path, and guess what? Yours is next. They won't stop until all threats, real or imagined are completely eliminated.

Your forces are limited and vehicles which you use during the levels consist of a few different types of planes/jets, turrets, and tanks (Hover or Artillary). The tanks are relatively hard to use as the turning is poor and quite slow, but the weapon is deadly. The planes are much more easy to turn and the weapons are very good too.

There are 16 levels to battle your way through, each with it's own targets and goals to acheive. The objectives which you will be given are Defending another vehicle or object, defending a building or defeating the incoming forces head on. You will sometimes be given other units which will help you in the battle, they aren't much use, but they do some damage and in the end, ever little helps.

Overall I think that the game is pretty limited, the graphics are pretty good and the story line is well thought out. It can get pretty repetetive at times, but for an 11 year old game I think that it's amazing!

There's a few boring things that i'll add on the end, system requirements, some people may find it useful. The game will generally work on most systems as it is pretty old.
Pentium(R) 111 550 (min.);
Windows 98/Me/Xp (Home edition)
4x CD_ROM drive (Min.)
36x CD-Rom drive (Rec.)
128mb RAM/256MB RAM (Min./Rec.)
Direct X 8.0 compatible 3D graphics
Direct X 8.0 compatible Sound Card
Mouse and Keyboard (Whether I needed to list this is debateable)

Summary: Well worth trying out!
