... to deal, for example weapons will eventually overheat if you fire them constantly, whilst bayonets can be attached to guns allowing you to engagin in melee combat when things get really tough. The graphics are in 3D (but not 3d accelerated) and still possess a certain clunky charm, whils the camera spins around observing the action. A tense, cerebral and much-overlooked strategy game, Incubation is well worth a look for fans of the XCOM and Jagged Alliance games in particular....more

Released back in 1997 by Blue Byte Software, Incubation is an intriguing concept, coming across as a mix between old Amiga hits Space Hulk and Battle Chess and all-time classic PC strategy game UFO: Enemy Unknown. The game is actually the fourth instalment of the popular Battle Isle games, although it doesnt really have all that much in common with its prececessors beyond its being a tactical turn-based strategy game.
