... ayed. As with most games the point is to score more points than the other team, and baseball is no exception. The game is played on a V shaped pitch, like a sector out of a circle. There are four bases placed in a diamond shape, with the pitcher standing in the middle of this diamond, and the batsmen at the plate (also fourth base). God knows why, but I have a thing for American sports. American football is great in my opinion, ice hockey is fun too, if not just for the fights, but one of the best is baseball. Perhaps it's because of the epic nature of each game, the seemingly complex rules (when you try to figure them out as you go) or the fact that they can hit that ball so far. I don't know the answer, nor can I ever fathom why some nights I will stay up all night to catch a live game on Channel 5. I have always enjoyed playing American Football games, such as the John Madden series, although this is perhaps is beginning to grate now (there must have been 10 of those EA yearly updates) ...
