This is an interesting PC game right now Im playing Armored Princess and let me tell you this game is pretty cool because is very original, is a mixture between Roleplaying and Strategy Game, the game is fantasy Medieval style , basically you´re a Hero in this case a Knight and you have at your disposal an army, you will be exploring a World where you will Interact with NPC, Mobs, creatures and what not... the battle works in a similar way to Chess game, basically the moves are made by Turn, you´ll fight with your army which you can arrange and get/buy/find from different places, also you´ll be able to increase your level and attributes and also your Skills.. I know this is like a Quick review but just don´t want to spoil very much of the game.
in Conclusion is a very tasty and colorful RTS with RPG elements it will let you setup your strategic armies with fighters, Mages, Priest, Efls, Bowmans and tons of many more races and creatures which you can have at your disposal, the game is pretty exciting, graphics are ok... I think they could have been better but the game is pretty fun to play.
my Score 8.8/10
... if you like strategy and Roleplaying then is game is made for you ;)
King's Bounty: The Legend is a very unique Adventure RPG experience. I bought it recently as part of a very reasonable Steam Deal along with its sequel, Armored Princess. What sets this apart from many RPGs is its lack of random encounters (enemies stay dead) and persistent effects to your army after each battle. The battle system is also quite unique, with a hexidecimal turn based strategic style that plays like an very odd version of chess.
The story is the usual cheesy rubbish about a knight going off to save the kingdom from evil, you can ignore that though, the gameplay is where this shines. The gameplay requires a very tactical effort because experience, gold and items are all limited; you can't just keep spawning random enemies like many RPGs. So you must use your EXP and money wisely, as if you really mess it up you would probably have to start the game again. This means strategically tackling the weakest enemies you can find, while avoiding the tougher ones and slowly building up your level, abilities and army.
The game is quite simple graphically, which means it (just) plays on my basic laptop with an integrated graphics card. Slightly better optimisation would be welcome however, as better looking games run less demandingly.
I think this game may not be to everyone's tastes however the careful way you build up and tackle the game world really appealed to me, and I found it very addictive. Overall, a surprisingly enjoyable game.
