So, you're looking for a modern combat flight sim with jets? In many ways, this is it, but don't get too excited. LOMAC is, in the visual department, the best there is. Land, planes, and anything else visible are all incredibly detailed. Half of the time playing this game you will probably just be admiring your jet as it cuts through the virtual air. Lock on Flaming Cliffs is the add on for the Lock On series, introducing additional Russian aircraft and missions. This game is far more in depth than your average "arcadey" style flight sim, but is a mile away in terms of complexity from Digital Combat Simulators latest release, Black Shark. The missions in Flaming Cliffs are certainly enjoyable, and a challenge. I rarely completed a mission first time, despite a large amount of time planning and preparing for missions.
