Magic and Mayhem (PC): Unique strategy (128 words)

This is a strategy game with a difference. Instead of building bases you are one wizard walking around casting various spells in an effort to complete various missions. These spells include creating fireballs to kill your opponents and summoning various creatures, such as zombies, to do as you command. Magic & Mayhem PC CD-ROM, Virgin Interactive You’ve inherited your eccentric uncle’s citadel and decide to have a poke around in his laboratory... oops! Shouldn’t have done that coz now you’ve been teleported into an alternate universe with no apparent way to escape. Ah well, at least you’ve got a book of magic and a box of spells to help you. Oh yeah, and you can summon up a group of Elf, Brownie and Zombie mates to join in the fun - just your average day, really! A lot of effort’s obviously gone into the detailed, atmospherically creepy forests and villages you can explore and the characters are well animated, ...  Read the complete review
