I found this game at the shops and thought, "Hey! this looks cool, the back shows some guy sniping someone's head off. I think I'll buy it!". Then I got all excited, as everyone should be when they buy a new game. I took off the shrinkwrap and placed the CD in my CD-tray, installed the game, and executed the program. The game was about average. The controls are really easy to get to grips with and I played right away without reading the manual. Then I got stuck on what to do next and decided to consult the trusty manual. After that, I still got stuck in the game. I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do next and I was really ... MDK - "Another shooter?" I thought. "I hope this one has a least a couple of new things". Yow! The graphics are a cut above almost any game I've seen of this type. The game is similar to a 1st person shooter, although it is 3rd person, with the game view just behind the main character. And the best new feature: Sniper. Press the space bar, and your view changes to a targeting, 1st person view which can zoom in and out. In the demo ... Read the complete review

MDK comes from that stable of all things different- Shiny entertainment. Dave Perry and his mates designed this startlingly original shoot-em-up cum puzzle solving adventure and it still looks fresh. ( In the gaming world even 2-3 years can be eons!) What stands out is the graphics design: both Kurt ( the hero) and the world he brings to chaos are rendered in a original and stunning way. The colours, the looming translucent buildings, the enemy robots, the arsenal of weapons all have been artworked and conceived well. The Gameplay was original at the time of release: the sniper scope was innovative and hasn't been done this well before ( since ... Read the complete review

MDK is a great first personaction type game. It consists of:- You, a geezer in a funny suit with a sniper in his head and a build in parachute. A dog with six legs and a couple of Uzis. And finally a mad proffessor. The idea is simple, move from screen to screen shooting at anything that moves before they shoot you ( or trample you or eat you or do any number of other things to you ). A fast and furious game, with a few puzzles thrown in, it also has a very short tutorial section which is the first level ( very helpful ). I would love to get MDK2, having enjoyed this game so much, but it won't run on my systen as I have no 3d card. ... Read the complete review
