Medal of honor Pacific Assault (MOHPA) is a 2004 WW2 first person shooter published by EA games and follows the MOH series. This time you once again play as an american marine but start off at boot camp.
You are then the witness of the attack on Pearl Harbour which brings you into the War as you fight along with your comrades against Japanese forces in famous island skimirmishes of Makin Atoll and so on.
The gameplay has been revamped from the previous games where a heavy dependence is now given to AI squadmates. This abandoned the previous lone warrior tactic to squad based attacks where you can even give instructions to your squad to attack or fallback. If you were to die one of your squadmates comes to revive you and bring you back in the action but if he takes too long you can bleed out thereby adding some realism to the game.
The levels and guns are definetley authentic looking everything from japanese weapons and banzai attacks to your famous springfield sniper rifle. The environments offer a great diversity as you can have your mates give you covering fire at a position while you flank and attack your enemies from the side. Enemies concealed in the trees and sniping offers verticality which wasnt very developed in previous games.
The music is exceptional and gets you in the mood to fight and die alongside your WW2 comrades. Once the 10 hour campaign is done the multiplayer will add countless hours to your gaming experience.
MOHPA is a very polished game and is a huge step from MOHAA in just 2 years. Worth a play although it needs significantly higher graphics than the average base computer at that time.

Summary: Well done game
