Generally speaking, reviewing a game on multiple platforms seems a bit daft, but given how Metal Gear Solid on the PlayStation remains one of my favourite games, I felt it apt to check out how it fared on the PC. While my expectations were low, as so many PC ports of console games are very clearly half-baked and lacking effort, Metal Gear Solid does them justice, and is one of the best console to PC ports that I've ever played. The game is almost universally known among gamers; the protagonist is Solid Snake, a seasoned soldier who must infiltrate a special base an prevent a nuclear strike. In this stead, he will have to employ magnificent stealth skills, as ... Read the complete review

This is a game everyone should play! Originally released for the Playstation back in 1998, it's now available on the PC. You are Solid Snake, sent on a mission to infiltrate a nuclear warhead base, and stop the detonation of a nuke. This is not the usual go in, beat em up or shoot em up. The less fighting that goes on the better. This game is all about stealth. You start of with nothing but a scope and a packet of cigarettes. Going through the game you are able to pick up a handgun, machine gun, cardboard box for hiding in, stinger missiles - used for shooting down helicopters, infra red lenses and so on. The story ... When MGS came out on the PlayStation, the hype surrounding it was amazing. The graphics were smoother than... something really smooth, and the storyline was amazing. I ensured myself that I would get a copy for the PSX. 2 and a half years later, I didn't have a copy. So when it came out on the PC, I rushed out and bought one immediately. I was amazed at the storyline, controls, weapons, AI and boss fights. But I cannot put enough stress on the fact that the game is too short. I finished it in a matter of days. However, the game itself plays brilliantly. The greatest bit is definetely the boss fight against the infamous Psycho Mantis. The AI is amazing as the boss ... Read the complete review

Get this if you didn’t get it on the Playstation. It’s one of the best games ever made! It’s not just your usual adventure. You have to use stealth instead of just going for the kill. If a soldier sees you your done, you have to find a place to hide quick, but its not just soldiers you have to hide from, you have to avoid security cameras, mines and gun turrets. You can knock on walls to grab the soldier’s attention, as they can hear you, so the only weapon you can fire without the soldiers spotting you, is the Socam with the suppressor. It has a brilliant story line. Next generation forces commanded by unit Fox hound, have taken over a base ... Read the complete review

Probably the best game out on the playstation finally comes out on the P.C. It is not just a plystation replica but also includes extra features, such as VR Missions included within the pack and also you can play it all in first-person mode. This is a brilliant game where instead of using brut force to win, you use stealth instead. The idea is to creep around, not getting spotted by guards and inflitarate the base. You can use a variety of weapons to win. This is a brillant game to have with lots of things to do. ... Read the complete review
