Microsoft Golf is one of those games that you really have to play around with to be able to play it properly. Sure, ou can read the manual but that is more than slightly confusing and eventually ends up hurting your head as you have no idea what it is gonig on about after a while. As soon as you play the game, the first thing you will notice is the wide range of options that are available. For example, you can either play alone or against your friends and even against computer controlled opponents, whom you can configure to avoid a whipping! In the game, to hit the ball you have to click and hold the mouse on a circular power and direction meter. You then click this twice according to requirements of how much power you want and which direction you want to hit it in. This does take a while to get used to and in the first few sessions of playing you will hear the voice over man saying "in the rough" or "on the beach" more times then he says "super shot". Despite taking a while to get used to, this game is a good little game to play. Fans of the sport will enjoy it more, but even the unitiated like me can have a go and still find it great fun. A nice little game. Jest
