Having never been a huge fan of commentary in games other than football game, this is a pretty good ... more  ... job at making basketball commentary interesting and offering something extra to the game. Control wise, the game I also pretty well taken care of. With four main control buttons, there is enough here to keep the experiences gamer happy, with switched and combinations that can really make some impressive moves, while novices can also plod along happily (although with very limited success) using the old button bashing frenzy as their only tactic during the game. NBA 2001 is simply a great game. This is a game that is well designed, well developed and has real appeal to any basketball fans. Further to that, if like me, you can't really stand watching a live game of basketball (what do the Americans see in this game to get so enthusiastic about?) then thee is still plenty here to enjoy. Another of the sequeled sequels from the EA sports range, this game has been around almost as long as computers themselves, and over the years, the hundreds of successors in the series have seen subtle improvements making this a well matured game with tried and trusted components.
