It's ok for arcade, but a non-starter for simulation (Need For Speed: Shift (PC))

Advantages: good graphics, easy to play

so have NFS done it again? short answer: no. why? this game is trying very very hard to be something its not. It's trying to be a racing simulator up there with games like Rfactor and GTR 2 but its just not cutting the mustard. First off, while i was playing this i noticed that it looks a lot like GRID , so when i first got into the game i though fantastic another great arcade racer on the way. I was wrong. I'm not too sure where they went wrong but it just doesn't feel right it kind of feels like racing a glorified slot car. In my eyes in a game if you can take a sharp turn at over 100 mph its not a simulation.

OK. I'll admit the game play isn't bad for an arcade game, kind of up there running with juiced and juiced 2, with the nice career mode you get to advance and become the best in the....well... west, and unlock new cars etc etc.

Ok so its just as cheap as any other racing game but i would rather buy grid over this, any day.

OK. If you are looking for a simulation game, spend £10 less for Rfactor. That has hundreds of download-able cars and tracks and all the addons are free! HOWEVER if you are looking for an arcade racer, try the demo see how you feel.

Summary: Ok for an arcade game but not as a simulator
