-------------------------------------------------- Seeing as I have recently been made the new Games guide, I thought it would be a good idea if I wrote my first games review! I play a fair selection of PC games myself, and my mates seem to own every console in existence - so I decided to start with a cross-platform game that will be accessible to as many of you as possible. That game is Need for Speed: Underground. -------------------------------------------------- The Need for Speed Series ********************************** The Need for Speed series, ... Well, I don?t normally write software reviews, but I thought I would give it a go, see how it goes. Software in question is EA Games? Need For Speed: Underground. Dooyoo only has it listed under Xbox games, but I have the PC version, and the Play station 2 version, so those of the 2 I will write about, but there isn?t much difference between the platforms, which is good, AND bad. Ill explain later. So, Like many people, I patiently waited for Electronic Arts to release Underground. A lot of hype over it, a lot of anticipation. The graphics of this game are of a decent standard and offer a good experience when playing the game. The gameplay is relatively realistic but does not offer the experience of some of the other games but you would not expect that in what is more of an arcade game. The traffic in this game offers a challenge to avoid as you are racing against your competitiors but it can also be used to ... Read the complete review

This is the peak of the NFS franchise, when the graphics got amazing, the selection of cars was fantastic and the gameplay modes were truly addictive. In short, the purpose of the game is to drive around looking good and aiming to get a better car, there are 3 types of races that are all straight forward and easy to master. No worrying about traction control, center of gravity, wheel weight distribution or other ridiculous overcomplications that come with some racing games - this is straight up arcade racer with pretty girls stood at the edge of the finish line ready to cheer you on. Some people think that underground is too easy, the end result was that they made all ... Read the complete review
