~ Introduction ~ Every once in a while a game comes along that totally changes the computer gaming world. That game is... Max Payne! Then there are games like this. No One Lives Forever (NOLF from now on) is one of those games that deserves to be huge, but either go by unnoticed or is released at a time when another game takes all the limelight. It's a huge shame really, NOLF is one of the most refreshing games I've played in recent years and yet it can now be found for just £15 online & in some shops... or is that the problem? Are computer games too expensive these days, still £15 is nothing for the hours you'll spend on this. ... Read the complete review

With maybe the exception of Duke Nukem 3D, First Person Shooters (FPS) have always been fairly serious affairs where you're the only person who can save the world, one person alone against the odds and all that kind of malarkey and it's all played straight. However, this changed with the release of "No One Lives Forever: The Operative" (NOLF from now on) where you play Agent Cate Archer, a fresh faced ex-thief turned spy. It's still only you against the world, but this time it's all done in a tongue-in-cheek manner, in a style very similar to the Austin Powers series of movies. As Cate Archer, you work for an organisation ... Read the complete review

I'd heard so much about this game, and read some great reviews, some average reviews and many poor reviews. Putting that aside, I'm a big FPS fan and having just bought my own PC have started buying all the FPS games I can find! With some classics like Quake II and Half-Life in my collection, NOLF had a lot to live up to... Starting off, the presentation was impeccable. I really liked the kitsch 60's style lounge music, and you get a bonus album of this music on the second game disc. The game itself is very colourful, very well presented and is firmly tongue-in-cheek. The game engine is Monolith Lithtech 2.5 and I wasn't ... Read the complete review

I was cautious in buying this game; I stepped away from FPS for a while because they didn’t really do anything for me. So I picked up this while I was waiting for Alice to come out and I'm very glad I did. No One Lives Forever has brought something new into the world of FPS. It has plenty of action, stealth and a welcome addition of humour. You play the role of Cate Archer a sexy 60's thief turned spy for the organization Unity. You battle in 16 missions against H.A.R.M who, as many bad organizations want to do, want to take over the world. From the start you know its going to be different because of the James Bond style ... I wouldn't say that I am a major computer game player, but I know what's good and what's not. Mostly I play action games, and this would definitely rank up there in my books alongside Goldoneye, Turok II and Time Splitters. Hats off to Fox who released No One Lives Forever=, a game that can compete with the likes of the aforementioned games which I thought could never be touched. The game is just fantastic. You can play single player and multiplayer, however, unlike many other First Person Shooter games ... Unreal Tournament, Quake III Arena, etc, THIS GAME HAS A STORY! And a good one at that. The voice acting is very good and the ... Read the complete review
