Advantages: Easy to pick up
Disadvantages: Predictable and not very original
This game is heavy on horror but lacks a bit in excitement as a gaming experience, in fact at times it feels a bit dated.
In the game you play as one of five teenage kids trying to escape from your high school which has been overrun by zombies and other not very nice creatures, you tend to play in pairs and are able to give instruction to the other character and while the characaters have different strengths they are all a bit too similar to make it really interesting. Of the characters Kenny and Ashley are the most useful as they are the best fighters however the others also have their uses when it comes to problem solving or lock breaking.
Most of the gameplay involves gathering together weapons or items that will help you get through to other areas of the school, one top tip is to tape a light to a gun as light can be used as a weapon just as much as the bullets in the gun.
The game certainly feels like a teen horror movie and visually it has that appearance as well, on the PC the game could look better and to be honest the school certainly needs a lick of paint and could pass for a mental institution such is the total greyness of the walls.
Overall I would not recommend the game as it does get predictable and often I had the feeling that I had played the game before as it follows the same formula as other survival type games. Two stars from me as it could definately do a lot better.
Summary: Not a great PC game.
