This is probably the best game I have ever played. A wild assumption to make, I know, but this game really has it all. It is unbelievably realistic, it looks great, and it plays greater. Before anyone makes comments on the realism, I want to make it clear to everyone now I am in the army cadets, and while I haven’t been under live fire, I have done many attacks using blank rounds so I know every military formation, weapon, ammo size, hand signal, or pretty much anything else about the British Army. This game, published by Codemasters, has generated a constant buzz ever since it was announced. After having finished the game in its entirety, I have to say that the buzz was warranted. Operation Flashpoint touts itself as the ultimate in realistic gaming. It boasts arenas far larger than most first person shooters; gives the player control over an unprecedented number of vehicles; and even more remarkably for the techies out there, it does it all within the same game engine. This is incredibly important. The game engine for Quake3 differs considerably from Falcon 4.0 - for obvious reasons. The shorter view your player has, the less polygons the computer has to process.
