British horror writer Clive Barker (who also voices one of the game s main characters) and so it should comes as no surprise to learn taht the game has a rich, dark and absorbing story, a powerful atmosphere and great aesthetics, requring you to go around the large island, fighting various ghosts and demons with an array of interesting weapons and spells. 	Daikatana (PC) ... Daikatana was finally released years behind schedule back in 2000, the game was met with universal disdain, and with good reason. The game was the brainchild of John Romero, head of development company Ion Storm and responsible in part for the creation of some fo the most important first person shooters of all time, namely Wolfenstein 3D Doom, Doom 2 and Quake. Daikatana was a hugely ambitious project, promising next-generation visuals, dozens of weapons and a sci-fi/mythologically themed story set around a mystical sword (to which the title refers) with time-travelling properties that takes place in futuristic Tokyo, Ancient Greece, Medieval Norway and modern-day Sa... 	Battle Isle 2 (PC) ... Trenches and fortifications can be built using construction vehicles to improve your units defensive capabalities, whilst bridges can be destroyed and rivers occasaionally freeze over, both of which offer their own tactical opportunities. The levels require the player to defend and capture weapons factories, and the AI is more than capable of putting up a good fight. When one unit attacks another the game cuts away from the 2D battlescreen to an early 3D sequence in which the two opposing squads of units are shown engaging in combat, with numerous factors all contributing to who wins and who loses.
