If you like business simulations and have ever fancied being both culinary gangster and pizza mogul, this is the game for you. In pizza Connection 2 you control the choice of locations for restaurants, HQs and warehouse- all which are vital to the success of a thriving pizza empire. Put a restaurant in a quiet part of the town and you may well find yourself suffering the wrath of your local gangster boos sooner rather than later. You also select your staff, menu and you also get the chance to design your own gastronomic delights to win customers. Me and my friend found that piling on ever ingredient you can possibly think of its popular if costly choice. Being a soft touch is also not acceptable, as hiring layabouts is a sure – fire way to instant closure, Half the fun is in bribing, steeling or even kidnapping your competitors staff. Take no prisoners in the race for the pizza fortune. There are a range of cunning, sneaky underhand tactics which you can employ to bring down your rivals – including sneaking rats, cockroaches, woodworm or even explosives into their kitchen (nothing like giving their customers a nice visit). The first mission is set in a beautiful modelled London with popular landmarks lovingly recruited. As you work your way through the game, you will gradually set up a global empire across the world’s greatest cities, including New York, Berlin and Rome. As well al local gangsters and pizza rivals in each city, you also have to watch out for random health inspectors and you must keep a close eye on the changing tastes or your customers. Keeping up with the trends of the eight different social types in the game is vital. Providing the food, the décor, the music, the locality and the general ambience need to be spot on for any chance of finding your “pizza fortune”.
This game seems brilliant when you first get it - open a chain of Pizza Restaurants in a city of your choice, from London in England to Rio in Brazil. Hire staff, make your own pizzas, advertise, you can even send thugs to go and elimenate your rivals! But after a while of playing the game you ask yourself - where am I going? You see, there no objective to Pizza Conection 2, sure they set you small challenges to complete, e.g. Open 5 More Restaurants, but unlike with most 'god games' there is no objective, you're not aiming for anything. Its a brilliant game - the graphics are brilliant, the gameplay is good and its great fun - at first. Maybe in Pizza Conection 3 (should it come out) there should be promotions to get or something to aim for.
