If you crave a true immersive roleplaying game and not just some mindless run around and press a button to see if you kill your opponent type of thing, then this is the game for you. To be clear I'm an active player of the game, not a GM or developer. I started playing PlaneShift in late 2006 and immediately fell in love with the game. I will not rehash the game settings and races as those are thoroughly documented on the PlaneShift website (http://www.planeshift.it), but will instead share my thoughts on the game. Though a free gaming exsperience, it lacks very little in possable entertainment for all ages. With an international following, it also hosts pages in various languages, allowing even a novice RPer from all around our globe to find both game support and character interaction. This free to use beta RPG game was suggested by a friend, and to be honest, I have beta tested many RPG games as well as play a few. ~background~ Yliakum is an underground city. The inhabitants, a mixture of different races, also call it the "City of the Azure Sun", referring to the huge crystal that gives the city its light and supplies the land with life-giving energy. Yliakum is located thousands of meters under the surface inside a huge excavated stalactite, hanging inside a cave so huge that it could contain any kingdom of the surface. For this reason it is structured in grades - like Dante's Inferno - and each grade is smaller than the ... Read the complete review
