A good, but outdated program now

This "game", if you can call it that, isn't a game per se, but more of a sort of editing suit for children. Btw before I begin, this review applies to red, green, yellow and blue versions of this game, I remember I had blue, and my brother had red when we were children, and honestly the only difference I remember was that the window in blue was blue....

Anyway, once you get into the program, you can select various "modes", which are basically templates. For example, you can make posters, cards, leaflets, that sort of thing. You can also make a little "comic strip" of your own.

To "make" these things, you basically have a selection of "images" from the pokemon franchise, such as pickachu, charmander, that sort of thing, and you can place them, rotate them, add text, change colours, the bog standard set of things you can do to edit an image.

You can also use this to write text, and do other basic functions, but this program isn't really up to the more "heavy" leaflet design, for things like that you are better off using word.

Overall then, I think this is (or at least was) a good game to get kids to learn how to do things like make leaflets. And because it was all pokemon themed, you sort of had fun doing it. There are just 3 main problems I see with this game now. Firstly, pokemon is getting on a bit, I imagine kids are getting into other things now. Secondly this game ran on an old version on windows (I believe I used it on windows 1998), so I have no idea if it will work on Vista/windows 7/ windows 8. And finally, if you get this program for your child, buy a printer with lots of ink and paper... trust me you may end up needing it!

Overall then, I give it 4/5. back in its day when computers were newish, I think this was an awesome way to get kids to learn what to do with them, but I think really this is too outdated in todays world.

As well as creating projects, documents etc. Pokémon project studio blue comes with graphics for them documents and projects. You can also make postcards, banners, cards, airplanes, chatterboxes (fortune tellers) and a lot more! With over 250 projects, pokémon project studio is great for people who love pokemon, and are very creative. Also get blue to make 'em all! Red comes with more graphics. You can also put a photo of yourself in a customisable frame. you can also import pictures and get backgrounds. Pokémon project studio is excellent i'd reccomend it to most children about 7-12.
