Picture this:- a black screen with a broken white line down the middle with two lines that moved up and down by a variable resister (knob) and a "ball" which was a square. that what started all our video games and computer games off. They guy who invented this simple thing never actually patented it, so imagine what would have happened if he did - we'd have proberbly nothing, or little when it comes to our gaming persuits. This version, with it's flash packing is still the basic "Pong" game, but in 3D, multiple angles, different surroundings and a few new twists to the otherwise basic game. I had Pong on the PC last Christmas hoping it would bring back some of the magic of the original all those years ago. Pong, if you don’t know already involves the use of a small “Pallet” or a long rectangular tube a few centimetres long. You can use this pallet to rebound the moving ball back to an opponent be it a different human player or the computer. If the ball goes pas your ‘Pallet’ then the other player gains a point and so on. The makers of this game, ATARI have for sure soiled this game by trying to innovate it for the next generation of gamers. They have tried making more interesting and complex levels e.g. in the ...
