Disadvantages: none realy, exept you might get dry eyes from staying up all night playing it.

PORTAL is a puzzle/strategy physics based game set in aperture science labratories, in which GLADos navigates you through test chambers to test out the 'Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device' or the 'Portal Gun'.

Gameplay:

Portal has a completely new style of gameplay: using portals to finish a level. Of course you cannot shoot portals on every surface (or else the levels would be easy) but you can on most. The game is challenging, (but not too much) and fun, really fun.

Storyline/Plot:

Portal has a brilliant, thriller style plot into which brilliant humout is induced. Glados, the Aperture Science computer is continualy talking about cake which is

*SPOILER WARNING* which is found out to be 4 713(sorry about the leetspeek)*END OF SPOILER*

as well as the button which GLADos says about a ordinary button

'prolonged exposure to THE BUTTON is not a part of this test'

Sound:

The voiceover is very convincing - glados sounds like a computer voice and the turrets sound creepy. and the sound engine is also very good as souds to the left of you will come out your left speaker.

Graphics:

very smooth and good

Physics:

extremely realistic and in act throughout the whole game (portal is a physics based game) which is used to solve every single puzzle.

Portal is overall a brilliant game so...

Summary: GO BUY IT!!!
