Having been a big fan of the Castle Wolfenstein series, I really relished the opportunity to shoot up some more virtual Nazis.
The twist with this one is that you're in an alternate world where the Nazis won the war, and your character has decided that he doesn't want to be a nazi any more, and so is going to fight his way through Hitler's hellish legions to dispatch the fuhrer himself. Sounds good. It's not.
I couldn't have been more disappointed. The game is terrible in so many ways, but let me give you a walkthough, as it were. It won't take long.
After a very ho hum intro sequence - (even very poor games manage to shine at this part sometimes) - you are plonked at the end of a rubble-strewn street with a gun that you seem to be holding up about the level of your right eyebrow. Nazis run at you very slowly, popping out from behind bricks and rocks like ducks at a fairground skeeter shoot. You shoot them. More come. You move on a bit. More nazis, no different from the first lot. Ad nauseam for about a million years. Then some vampire type things that look like thin Uncle Festers - lamer than Mona. Then more nazis.
I really wished I could turn the gun on myself.
I made it about halfway through before I got way too bored to play it any more. I didn't find it difficult to play, just to tolerate. I eventually gave it to a charity shop where I hope it will at least do some good.
Avoid, or you will be cursed...
...with a really lame shooter.
You are one of German soldiers which rise against Nazi. You'll use their weapons against them, to destroy them. Try to complete all missions and use your weapons in the best possible way, you'll save the world; you'll become a hero.
