Advantages: Fighting if fun, Moving is intuitive, Special powers are easy to use.

Disadvantages: Graphics are not really that good, sound is repetitive, game gets boring quickly.

Well, Prince of Persia: The sands of time. I can't really say it's amazing, but then again, it's not BAD as such.
The games first levels involve you having to solve a series of puzzles, dodge moving spikes, and do acrobatic moves such as wall running, to get to a small chamber, in which you witness the sands of time hourglass being broken. This, for some reason results in everybody in the entire kingdom being turned into mindless sand creatures, devoid of water, dried out husks of people.
But, this game wouldn't be called the sands of time if you couldn't actually *do* anything with time?
You, early in the game, receive the "Dagger of time" A mystical, powerful weapon that lets you control time, and as you progress through the game, this dagger upgrades, allowing you to control more powers. The interesting thing is, with this dagger, is that you can't, well, die. As long as you have enough charges remaining (The daggers ammo) you just rewind to a time before you were dead.
Of course, run out of charges, you die, and are presented with the prince saying "No, no, that's not how it happened." After which you have the option to load up from a save game.the story is interesting, but not really enough to merit a play through all the way to the end, and some puzzles are damn near impossible.
The graphics are mediocre, not exactly good, but not with glitchy, under detailed textures. They are not good enough to make you feel as if you were "inside" the game, and unfortunately neither does the gameplay. still, i suppose we can expect this from a 2002 game, but they could of done better.
Sound is pretty much the same. Not bad, with realistic "clanging" sounds if your sword hits a pillar, and screams of your enemies as you die. But after a while both those and the music becomes repetitive.
The control system is intuitive, and lets you perform acrobatic moves with a degree of ease, and both wall jumping and wall running, back flipping, front flipping, and dodging become second nature after a while.
So, all in all this game isn't great, and they could of done better, but due to the fact you can control time and melee fighting is fun, and quick. I give this game 1 thumb up. Not great, not horrible, but enough to entertain you for a few days.

Summary: This game is mediocre, and its only worth picking up at a boot sale.
