Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 - I dont think I have ever played a more frustrating game!

I am a big fan of the Pro Evolution series and I had high hopes for the latest in the series. At first I was fairly impressed, it looked good and seemed to handle well, however the more I played it the more frustrated I become.

If you play on any level from regular upwards you will have spell during a game where the opposition team play like Brazil. even if its only for a few seconds the skills they show at this time nearly always result in conceding a goal. This is frustrating as your goals against column gets higher and higher.

Secondly tackling in this game is rubbish, you can either run alongside a player 'applying pressure' or slide tackle him resulting in a red card. Either way does nothing to win the ball back for you.

Thirdly, the choice of passes that the computer decides for you is rediculous. For example if you have 2 team mates straight ahead of you, one is surrounded by three defending players and the other is completely free and in space - 9 times out of 10 the player will pass to the one who is surrounded by the oppostion.

Fourthly, the menu system is so annoying! Obviously the game has been ported from the console version but a little effort could have been made to make the menus a little more PC friendly.

The game does have some good points however but these are masked by the frustrating way the games responds to you. This is the first Pro Evolution game I have been dissapointed with for a fair while.
