Advantages: Good gameplay, Easy controls
Disadvantages: Not brilliant backgrounds, Not brilliant Graphics
I first played this game from a demo I got in pc gamer, and loved it even though there was only one track and one car. I spent ages trying to find it on the internet and couldn't find it on any websites so I eventually gave up. About 3 months later I was in my local GAME shop and they had a 3 for £10 offer on and there it was!! I bought Rally Championship Xtreme, Motocross Madness 2 (which had a Ford Racing game free inside it) and Soldier Of Fortune. I got home and started the career section of the game and it was brilliant. I paid £2.50 for this game and it was relatively new!! The sound effects were good the handling on the cars was realistic and there were plenty of cars and tracks to choose from. I still haven't finished this game! It's made more real by the fact that when you damage your car you only have a certain amount of minutes with which you can fix it in and the more damage done to the car the more minutes are needed. There are 5 different types of play, 28 licensed cars including car damage, 28 tracks and four world rallies: British Arctic USA and Safari rally. I think this game is absolutely brilliant. The effects are good, the cars are good, the sound is good. The backgrounds aren't brilliant but what would you expect from a game for £2.50!! I would recomend this to anybody looking for a cheap rally game which is a bit of fun but not to anybody who wants the latest cars, graphics sound etc You could play on this for hours and hours without getting bored unless you somehow managed to complete all the tracks in a short space of time. But this is nearly impossible if you damage your lights on a track then have to drive in the dark!! The controls are very easy and you can change them whenever you want to and its one of the easiest games I have ever set up. If you want to cheat you can put in: cheating homer at the start menu this will unlock all cars and tracks. My ov
erall conclusion is that this is a good, fun, cheap game but isn't for the serious rally lover. This is more for people who enjoy racing and don't want it too complicated or serious. 4 Stars
